Asian Heritages

The ABIA project is a global network of scholars co-operating on an annotated bibliographic database for publishers covering South and Southeast Asian art and archaeology. The project was launched in 1997 at the initiative of the International Institute for Asian Studies in Leiden, the Netherlands, in collaboration with international scholars and Asian academic institutes.

The database ABIA South and Southeast Asian Art and Archaeology Index is fully searchable online and is freely accessible at Extracts from the database are also available in the form of printed bibliographies. Three volumes have been published thus far. The project receives scientific support from the J. Gonda Fund Foundation and UNESCO.
