I will conduct the research of the Siebold collection, which contains materials Siebold and others collected in Japan during 1820s. The materials of his collection are old Japanese maps, pictures, books and plants. Leiden University Library, Siebold House, and the Museum of Ethnology own his collection. During April to September in 2018, I will visit these institution to do the research.
