The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at Yale University seeks to hire two scholars in the field of Japanese literary study who concentrate in any period from 1600 to the present. We encourage applications from scholars with any area of specialization, including those whose work traverses multiple East Asian languages and/or is comparative in method. This is an open-rank search, with appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications.
