The Department of South and Southeast Asian Studies at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Southeast Asian Studies, tenure track, with an expected start date of July 1, 2019. A Ph.D. (or equivalent international degree) or enrollment in a Ph.D. (or equivalent international degree) granting program, with specialization in Southeast Asian studies, and completion of all requirements except the dissertation, is required at the time of application. 

Assistant Professor in East Asian Languages and Literatures Department and Humanities Program

The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures and the Humanities Program seek to make the joint tenure-track appointment of an assistant professor, to begin July 2016. The appointee will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in EALL and also undergraduate courses suited for the interdisciplinary Humanities Program. We seek a scholar of outstanding promise who engages intensively with Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Inner Asian primary materials.

The Department of Anthropology at the University of Washington invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in cultural anthropology with a teaching and research emphasis on the Theravada Buddhist regions of Mainland Southeast Asia. The topic of this search is open, but preference will be given to scholars whose research addresses the anthropology of health or the environment. We are particularly interested in those whose work focuses on the transnational dimensions of these areas.
