Thai Cinema - My Girl

Twenty something Jeab receives an invitation to his childhood sweetheart’s wedding. On his way to the wedding he relives his childhood in a flashback. The six directors of My Girl produced a dramatic movie with a comic undertone. The International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS) and EYE Film Institute present six movies from Thailand. This in the wider framework of the 20th anniversary of Fortissimo Films (17 September-5 October) in which movies of this Dutch film production company are highlighted. Some of these movies are introduced by film critics or specialists in the  field of Thai movies and culture.
